Here, you find some information about our e-mail provider migration from Google to Microsoft and on what you need to do to continue to be able to send and receive e-mails from an MBS account. Attention: You need to act by December 4th.

  • E-Mail Provider migration? What are you doing and why?

    We migrate from Google to Microsoft to streamline our system landscape as well as for compliance reasons.

  • Ok, do I need to do anything?

    Yes, we need your consent in order to be able to create an account for you in the MBS Office 365 tenant. Additionally, if you wish us to migrate your e-mails, we will need to reset the password for your account, and also your consent for the migration operation.
     

  • Oh! Ok, where can I leave my consent?

    Please go ahead and fill in this form.

  • What happens if I do not consent?

    We will not be able to create an alumni e-mail account for you on the MBS Office 365 tenant.

  • What happens after the migration to my old MBS Google account?

    Shortly after the migration is over, we will delete your user account and associated data from our Google Apps tenant. If there is anything you wish to keep, please make sure to download it before the migration date.

  • When will the migration happen?

    We will start the process on 4th December 2020 6 p.m. (CET).

  • Where do I have to login after the migration has been completed?

  • Will there be any change to my login details?

    Yes, you will receive a unique MBS-ID from us in the format of FirstetletterFirstNameSecondNameUpToEightCharacters+XInCaseOfDuplicates@mbs.education

    So Hans Mustermann would translate to hmusterm@mbs.education. In case of duplicates hmusterm1,2,3 etc.

  • And my password?

    We will send the password to your MBS Google Account, before we migrate / create your Office 365 account. If you entrusted us with migrating your mails, this will be the same password that we will set for your MBS Google Account for that purpose.

  • What about my current MBS e-mail address?

    After the migration starts, you will lose access to this address. You will however receive a new address from within the domain alumni.mannheim-business-school.com. (firstname.lastname@alumni.mannheim-business-school.com – in case of duplicates firstname.lastname1…2…3 etc.).

  • Can you migrate my mails / create my new account in advance?

    Yes we can. If you tick the appropriate box on the questionnaire, we will start the process as soon as possible (will be done once a week).

  • Where can I find the server settings for POP3, IMAP and SMTP in order to setup my email client?
