Mannheimers work in over 900 companies of all sizes and in all sectors, including all the DAX 40 companies. They are leaders and have the best prospects on the job market. This is because they have successfully completed a demanding program and also because they can rely on a strong network and the comprehensive, high-quality services of our Alumni Relations and Career Development Office.
No two career paths are the same. This is why our dedicated Career Development Managers, who are both experienced counselors and seasoned industry experts, work individually with each participant to identify their ideal professional environment post-MBA and how to get there. Our support does not end with your graduation: “Mannheimer for Life” means that you can come back to us at any time and use us as a sparring partner for the next step in your career.
We set up individual counseling sessions to discuss your career goals and explore how you can make the country, industry or function change that you crave reality. Together with your individual counselor, you will identify your personal preferences, interests and talents to develop a cohesive story line. Mock interviews will make you aware of all the dos and don’ts, and prepare you to act appropriately once your dream job comes along.
Multi-Competence Team (MCT) coaching sessions ensure that every team member gets to contribute their views and experiences, and is treated with courtesy and respect. Working in your MCT itself will hone your intercultural, communication and leadership skills, and stimulate your ability and willingness to reflect on perspectives vastly different from your own. The very success of your MBA thesis – the Business Master Project – hinges on you having a high-performance team.
You and your teammates will take turns taking leadership of the various group tasks, putting into practice knowledge gained in workshops and coaching sessions. If you are a fledgling leader, this will be the foundation for success in your first 100 days of leadership. And if you already have leadership experience, it will help you validate your leadership methods and style.
Do you want to upskill in project management, presentation skills, design thinking or inclusive leadership? A range of alternating workshops will help you close those gaps.
Gain first-hand insights into the work of recruiters in our HR expert talks: What qualities do they look for in candidates? Which details do they focus on when assessing CVs and cover letters? And how important are company values?
Rub shoulders with company executives during company visits or company presentations. Talk to other Mannheimers at a range of industry events including the SAS & MBS Analytics Day, Consulting Day and Start-up Day to learn about working in different industries. Connect with recruiting companies during our Career Week. If you take all the available opportunities and network events seriously, you will meet up to one hundred companies throughout the duration of the program. And you won’t be just one in a thousand. Rather, you’ll be part of a small, hand-picked group of high potentials that companies will screen for their open positions.
In Meet a Mannheimer sessions, alumni from different cohorts share their career journeys after the MBA. Since they are your peers, you can approach them directly and ask them about the industry and company they work in, and for specific advice.
At a career bootcamp, you will naturally also tackle the basics: you will learn how to write compelling cover letters, make your CV stand out and make your LinkedIn profile more visible, and discover the secrets of successful business networking. Online platforms and tools will support your career development journey, connecting you to events, our exclusive job board and other useful content.
Over the last three years, our participants have signed contracts with various companies, including:
