Notice with regard to the use of visual and audio recordings

The following is a detailed notice with regard to the use of visual and audio recordings pursuant to our obligations to provide information in accordance with Art. 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Please note that the following notice shall consistently apply to the activities of all of the Mannheim Business School gGmbH, hereinafter referred to as “MBS”.

Use of visual and audio recordings

We reserve the right to produce, edit and disseminate visual and audio recordings, including photos, of speakers, participants, and guests at our events, which we ourselves organize or in which we are involved as a collaborative partner, for PR and marketing purposes, provided that there is no objection in specific cases. This shall be suitably notified both in the course of electronic registration for the event and at the venue itself.

The legal grounds for this shall be Art. 6 (1) lit. f of the GDPR. In the context of our PR and marketing efforts in effectively shaping public opinion, our legitimate interest shall be to provide information about the events themselves and inform attendees at similar events about MBS and its activities. This shall be in the form of articles and photo galleries on our website, newsletters, print media and any publication related to the event, among other things. Furthermore, the visual and audio recordings produced shall also be used to promote our activities on social media channels, particularly on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and XING.

The visual and audio recordings made during our events shall also be distributed to media representatives at newspapers, radio stations, and online editorial departments to provide news coverage for PR purposes. We shall also make visual and audio recordings available to partner companies, organizations, and institutions for their own coverage after the event.
